Hello friends!!
It has been a hot minute since I featured Turtle Tootsie on this blog and let me tell you, I’ve missed it! I was lucky enough to review their inaugural collection (see that here), it was great! I was extremely surprised by the quality of the formula so I thought.. it’s been one year, formula was great then, I wonder if it can really get much better? what can one year do to already good formula? I was sent the four piece Halloween Collection. Let’s take a look at them!!
Goblin Goodies
This is a white crelly with black holo micro glitter, purple metallic flakies, orange holo glitter, and lime green holo glitter.
The formula was very nice and flowy, a lot of glitter pay off with every coat, no streaks, three thin coats plus glossy and matte top coat in the pics. I am really loving it matted!!
For nail art I did very simple stamping in orange using images from MoYou London Festive 16 plate.
Ogre Blood
This is a light olive-green linear holo with gold shimmer, gold holo micro glitter and brown micro flakies.
Look at that beauty!! Formula was absolutely flawless!! You see two dreamy coat plus glossy top coat in the pics.
Ok so the name is “ogre blood” and I definitely gave it a go but I realized I suck at drawing ogres!!! I gave it my best but gave up and no there is no visual proof of just how much I suck at drawing Shrek. I love stitches though so that’s what I went for with this base. Love the end result hope you do too!!
Bat Slime
This is a light to medium linear holo with black holo glitter and black bat glitter.
Ok so this was a tricky one.. You see that big black bat above right before the bristles start? he was a little hard to come by so you will need to do glitter placement for your mani BUT the maker is aware of this and is including a baggie with extra bat glitter with the purchase of every set. As you can see, the holo is strong with this one, so much so that it even bugged out my camera who is a confessed holo lover. You see three thin coats plus glossy top coat in the pics.
For nail art I free-handed a ragged fence and spooky trees and figures.
Spooky Pumpkin
Is an orange linear holo with black sparkle flakies.
Lalalove this baby! I hate these types of polishes but nope. This is a beauty, the formula is ahmazing, went on like butter, fast drying.. ahhh a polisher’s dream! You see two coats plus glossy top coat in the pics!
Again, I pulled out my MoYou London Festive 16 for this mani. Hope you like it!
So, can already good formula improve in a year? it can and it did! congratulations Chrissy! You did an amazing job with these! Can’t wait to work with you again!
This collection will be launching Oct. 7th at noon est. They will be priced at $35 for the full size collection, $20 for the mini set. Singles will be $10/full size $6/mini size and all full collection purchases will come with a small pack of bat glitter.
