Hello!!!!
OMG eeekkk and ahhh!! I cannot believe that my blog turned 2 last month!! Holy cow did time fly!! So back in February I asked five of my favorite makers to help me out doing a custom for a giveaway and I have had these babies home for evahhhh but, one took a bit longer to arrive and then the pest came down on my house and we spent feb sick and now my son has been sick with flu strep and cold (at different times) for most of March so yeah things got super delayed so I’m sorry for those of you that saw me announce something special and then go quiet for a while.. BUT here it is!! something special!
I have been so incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands throughout these two years, met incredible people and made some good good friends. I’m a lucky girl to have been able to take my little hobby and to be able to share my passion with you all! Thank you so much for being there!
So, what did I ask of these fabulous five makers? Very little.. they are geniuses and they rocked each polish. Look at them! There are 4 customs and 2 that are available to purchase whenever your little heart desires. I’ll introduce you to them one by one and I tell you the story behind each.
Since I am a huge art lover and really really love the impressionist, the four customs are all inspired by them. Let’s see
Arles By Pretty & Polished
Named after the City in which Vincent Van Gogh lived the last years of his life, I have been lucky enough to have visited this city when I lived in Europe and loved it! I asked Chels to do a lavender holo.. kind of like her gorgeous dusty creme Amethyst or Am I That and she did such an awesome job!! That soft scattered holo is just gorgeous so I decided to name this gorgeous purple Arles because of the lavender fields Van Gogh painted many times.I truly truly love it!
Cafe Nuit by Anonymous Lacquer
I have forever been obsessed with Van Gogh’s Cafe Nuit (or Cafe la Nuit or Cafe en Nuit), that gorgeous blue sky is just breath-taking!! I needed it on my nails! I went to Mildred and told her, I need you to make a blue Wrath (wrath is the king of all red holos ever) and of course she delivered, cause she rocks and she can make some knock your socks off holos. Here it is, I love it!
Water Lilly Pond by Frenzy Polish
This one was super easy, Rachel said she’d make a green, I needed it to be flakie cause she rocks flakies and this beauty was born. The name (after one of Monet’s paintings) came after the polish.
Monet by Colores De Carol
Is a total play on words, Carol said she’d do a white crellie and when I saw it I thought it was so cute that I decided to name it Monet as a play on words on the word “Mono” which means cute in Spain, seemed very fitting with the theme. Second pic is with a matte top coat.. I love it!
A Little Bit of Monica by ellagee
Is the first of the two shades readily available for purchase. This is a shade I dreamed up as part of her “Three Years of Sparkle” blogger collaboration collection. Laura of course nailed it as she nailed every single shade in that collection! I absolutely adore this polish so pick it up! you can see it reviewed here. Second pic is mattified.

Is the second shade that’s readily available for purchase. This is the third anniversary commemorative shade done by Laura. So pretty I really love it! see the full review here.
