Hello friends!

How are you today??? Today I want to share with you a very special duo. Early this year one of my maker friends Rachel from Frenzy Polish suffered a life threatening situation.. a blood clot developed in one of her legs and nearly killed her. She was then diagnosed with DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) as it turns out DVT is one of the many many things that can happen to any of us out of the blue and to which many people have lost loved ones. It really puts life into perspective to see a person you care for and talk to often to go through things like these. Shows you that we are not guaranteed tomorrow and that we should take advantage of every opportunity we have and above all we have to show our loved ones that we love them.

Of course; as polish making is the creative outlet for all our beautiful indie nail polish making wizards, Rachel decided to make a DVT Duo to raise awareness about this illness and to kind of send her message out:

“My hope for these polishes is to honor those who have experienced a life-threatening blood clot and those who have lost loved ones to them. To raise awareness so that people don’t ignore the signs and symptoms like I almost did, and wait until it’s too late to get help.

The polish names are witty and a play on words, not out of disrespect, but out of knowing what it’s like to face death and realize how important certain things are, and how totally unimportant other things are. Live life fully… laugh… take time to unplug and enjoy friends & family… and count your blessings. <3″

You’re So Vein

Is a pretty blood-red creme with perfectly flowy formula. You see two coats plus glossy top coat in the first two pics, and then topped with a matte top coat in the third.

Drop it Like it’s Clot

A clear based topper with silver holographic glitter, silver metallic flakes, iridescent purple flakes, and iridescent blue/purple micro glitter. Those large iridescent purple flakes are just gorgeous!! you see one coat over you’re so vein in the pics.

I have to say I really like both of these, The classic red is well.. a must in every nail polish lover collection and the topper is really beautiful and unique. So I would definitely recommend you buy them if you like them!!!
