Hello friends!!
How are you today?? looks like fall is finally setting in here in NJ, I do hate the cold in the morning and the heat in the afternoon. I never know what to wear! Today I have the gorgeous new Zoya MatteVelvet Holiday Collection! She’s so pretty I cannot wait to show you.
Aspen– can be best described as a sparkling arctic white with a micronized diamond pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish as per maker. This is my least favorite from the collection, not that there is anything wrong with it it’s just that the others are prettier. I was more comfortable with three coats for this polish.

Sue– can be best described as a soft champagne gold with a multi-hued oyster shell pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish as per the maker. While this is pretty, I’m not dying over it. I do see many many future NYE manis featuring this baby though. Three coats in the pics

Amal– can be best described as a classic crimson red with a ruby red pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish as per the maker. Now this is where I start to get excited!!! This is absolutely gorgeous!!

Iris– can be best described as a deep amethyst with a fuchsia pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish as described by maker. Very and extremely excited about this one, what a beautiful color!

Honor– can be best described as a true emerald green with a tone on tone emerald pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish as described by maker. I found this to be super pretty and love the shade of green. not too light not too dark, just right!

Yves– can be best described as a deep sapphire that’s midway in between indigo and royal blue with a blue pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish as described by maker. I dieeeee over this polish! soo beautiful!! ugh but of course, she stained me. Not horribly, and I was NOT wearing proper base (I was wearing my swatching OPI Peel off base but decided to keep it bc I fell in love with her). Ugh yes I’m making excuses but I would wear it over and over again bc I love her so… let’s all learn from my mistake and double up on a good base before putting this baby on.

So, what do I think of this collection? I absolutely love it! If you had problems with the first matte velvets and are a little “iffy” about these, don’t be! The formula on these is ten times better, the colors are super rich and pretty and the dry time is great!! You’ll be ready to go in 10-15min. A clear win all around.
Thank you so much for reading!!!
