How are you today??? Here I am again busting a polish out of the untried drawer!! How could this baby be part of my untrieds? I don’t even know! I love blue, I love holo, yet this baby has been sadly ignored for almost a year now. Sometimes I’m just a mean nailgirl I guess. BUT luckily early this year I made a resolution to always use an untried for my non-swatchy manis and so far it’s working because I’ve been getting real beauties out of the untried drawer.
Today I want to show you my first and only Darling Diva Polish, I picked up Royale (RuPaul Inspired Collection 2013) from a destash because, well I always go for blue and holo! I was pleasantly surprised with this polish, granted I knew it would be pretty but the formula was very nice even though it had been sitting there for a while, hadn’t gotten goopy or separated which is great. The two coats you see in the pics went on beautifully smooth and the top coat (Seche Vite) didn’t kill the holo at all. First pic is in sunlight and second is in lightbox.
Was it an untried treasure? yes it is quite the lovely polish. It however didn’t make me gasp or made me giddy, I think there’s a lot of gorgeous blue holos out there with great formulas and this just well joins the class but it is not the star student. I was very happy to see that this did not stain as many of it’s classmates do, so A+ for that! Sadly however I see that it is no longer available at Darling Diva so if you want to get your hands on it, it will have to be through a destash.
I do have to say that having seen the quality of this polish, I would not think twice about purchasing from this brand as soon as I’m able to. There are some real stunners in the shop!

Bummer it’s no longer available, but I can agree with you it’s beautiful just not unique. Still it definitely makes for some nice eye candy lol.

I’ve seen this polish before, more than once, but it’s still beautiful.
I guess it must be popular? I think there are a lot of look alikes even within the brand. As a matter of fact I just saw one very similar on their page (a-ffirmative) that’s why I said its pretty but common. Still love it though
